A landscape study in Kent dominated by the motifs of the trees and a corn stook. The variety in the landscape was evidently of interest to Knighton-Hammond. This picture has depth through the successive planes – the foreground field, the trees, the distant landscape and the sky. Simple in form yet effective in relation to the whole composition.
