The artist's family on an outing in their caravan. Mrs Knighton-Hammond would do the driving when they went on family holidays around the country in the 1930s. The children are busy reading shaded from the sun with their floppy hats. The picture is a riot of colour developed whilst Knighton-Hammond lived on the Continent during the 1920s and early 30s.
