A study of flowers in a blue vase delicately and skilfully depicted in fresh watercolours. The vase appears to be placed on an upside-down flowerpot and with the shadows it may well have been painted out of doors. There is no precision to the arrangement, so it was likely that Mrs Knighton-Hammond was not involved in the preparation of the display. The artist preferred less formal compositions of flowers for his studies. The picture was exhibitioned at the Chichester House Gallery, Ditchling in May 1976.
