A picturesque Haddon Hall is one of a number of similar scenes from this vantage point carried out by Knighton-Hammond. The river, trees and bridge in the foreground lead the spectator into this spectacular medieval castle perched majestically on the hill. The sunshine picks out the elevations which are devoid of ink. The artist cleverly shades the remaining elevations and fenestration. An accomplished etching of a much loved location where the artist spent a good deal of time in the early part of his career.
