This hunting scene shows the hunt at full gallop in pursuit of their quarry. It is likely that this watercolour was painted on the artist’s kitchen table. These ‘pot boilers’ as Knighton-Hammond later referred to them were produced for sale in order to pay the rent. The early years of the twentieth century were not easy when it came to making a living.
