This is a fun sporting picture probably painted on the kitchen table in 1901 whilst the artist was living in London. The huntsmen are passing through a gate onto the road. Children are attending the gate and two women are observing from the opposite side of the road. The hounds lead the way. These sporting pictures were produced by the artist along with picture postcards to help make a living at this period in his career.
