Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta, more commonly known as I Gesuiti in Venice has a prominent Baroque facade overlooking the Lagoon. Knighton-Hammond features the buildings also overlooking the Lagoon and various sailing boats moored up and others out on the water. The architecture is cleverly detailed. It would appear that the etching is a reverse or mirror image so the artist did not reverse the image on the plate.
