This landscape with a lake, hills and rainbow is freely painted in watercolours. With very little gradation of colour the artist cleverly achieves aerial perspective drawing the spectator's eye through the valley and beyond. The rainbow is a sweeping brushstroke with limited colour giving a mere impression or suggestion but one immediate knows extactly what it is.
