The margaritas and other flowers in this study is an arrangement in a blue jug which features in many of Knighton-Hammond’s still life paintings. The artist did not like formal flower arrangements hence the reason for a few of the margaritas being placed on the table. There is good disposition of space within the composition. The flowers stand out against a simple, plain background.
