Knighton-Hammond enhanced this pencil drawing by adding watercolour to the foliage of the trees in the foreground. Executed in 1929 Park Lane was by then a very desirable place to live and work. The façades of the buildings would have been sketched at speed clearly depicting the different styles and eras of architecture. Building works were taking place behind the buildings evidenced by the two cranes towering above the roof tops.
