Knighton-Hammond has managed to capture rushing skies, changing moods and shifting light in this Welsh landscape. The rather subdued colours denoting the successive planes giving depth to the picture taking the spectator’s eye through to the rugged mountains in the background. There seems to be almost a direct relationship between the application of the paint and the character of the landscape itself.
