This etching of the standing figure of Reeves the Tramp is complimented by a further study of his head and hand. This is Knighton-Hammond thinking and exploring on his etching plate. Drawn with fine draughtsmanship and the spontaneity has been transferred from drawing to etching plate. All the studies have solidity and volume created by skilful handling of the etching needle. The artist has used pastel to add colour to the composition.
