Thatched historic buildings on the side of the road in Great Comberton, Worcestershire, have been quickly sketched with the etching needle into the wax on the copper plate. The trees have been similarly depicted drawn at speed. A shepherd driving his sheep along the road gives movement and scale to the composition. The shadows create a mood in the etching.
