This bold watercolour is dominated by the tree which is clearly in a distressed state. The broken bows have fallen to the ground adjacent making for an interesting composition not lost on the artist. The branches, littering the foreground, have been skilfully described with foreshortening and perspective.
The trees in the distance have been rendered blending the wet tints of Autumn. The combination of cloud and sky makes for an interesting study.
