The finish of the Derby 1902 has Rising Glass beaten by Ard Patrick. At the finishing post the horses are in full gallop. The spectators are looking on dressed for the occasion. It is likely that Knighton-Hammond would not have been present at Epsom for the Derby. This picture was probably painted the following day when the artist got the results from the newspapers.
