This harbour scene is dominated by the bow of the sailing boat moored in the harbour at San Remo painted in 1924. Freely painted in direct watercolour, the mid-ground buildings have little architectural detail but the impression created is sufficiently well executed for one to immediately appreciate the white washed facades and terracotta roofs. The mountains in the background are painted in an atmospheric blue. The harbour is calm and gives off reflections of the boats in harbour.
