A very freely painted watercolour of sailing boats moored up against the harbour walls. The horizon is very atmospheric and there is tranquility in the scene with the calmness of the water. The artist clearly liked this picture as he gave it to his daughter as can be seen in the inscription 'To my darling Mary'.
