The Terrace Steps at Haddon Hall would have been painted on a very early trip by the budding young artist, Arthur Hammond in the late 1890s. The grand external steps rise up from the Upper Lawn up to the balustraded Winter Garden. During his painting expeditions to Haddon Hall, Arthur was given tuition by local artists who were also working at the iconic stately home.
