On this day (3 November 1924) 101 years ago:
Knighton-Hammond held a major exhibition at the Hotel Jean Charpentier, 76 Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Paris between 3 – 17 November 1924. An amazing 100 works of art were exhibited in this prestigious establishment. Between the World Wars the Galerie Charpentier had a reputation second to none hosting many important exhibitions. Knighton-Hammond was assisted by his friend Prince Nicholas of Greece, in organising his exhibition. At the opening day on 3 November 100 years ago today, Prince Nicholas attended along with his brother Prince Andrew and others from the Greek Royal Family and their circle of friends. For the Galerie Charpentier to host this exhibition was a great accolade for Knighton-Hammond and clearly his work was now being recognised by the leading galleries of the day.
